I have already purchased the Studio Display with the standard stand. Can I still use it to the AM01?
Sure, but it depends on the type of stand you have:
For the Standard Stand Version (default stand): The original Apple stand cannot be detached, so the monitor cannot be directly mounted on the AM01.
Solution: You can purchase the dedicated SCS01F adapter to convert to the VESA standard for use with the AM01, or contact Apple Support to inquire about replacing the stand with the VESA version for direct compatibility with the AM01.
For the Height-Adjustable Version: The original Apple stand cannot be detached, so the monitor cannot be directly mounted, and the SCS01F adapter is not compatible.
Solution: Please contact Apple Support to inquire about replacing the stand with the VESA version for direct use with the AM01.
-
Can the AM01 be used with a non-Apple monitor?
Yes, you may use the AM01, provided that the following conditions are met:
- The monitor supports the VESA standard (100x100mm or 75x75mm).
- The weight ranges between 5.8 and 6.4 kg or between 8 and 8.6 kg, and the size does not exceed 32 inches.
- There are no surrounding structures that interfere with the VESA mounting during installation.
If all of the above conditions are satisfied, the AM01 is compatible for use.
-
After installing the AM01 monitor arm, do I need to adjust the monitor’s tilt tension?
If you are using the Studio Display, no additional tilt tension adjustment is required. The AM01 is factory-calibrated to the optimal tension value, so no further adjustments are necessary.
-
What is the difference between the 180° and 360° rotation limits, and when should each be used?
If the back of your installed arm is positioned close to a wall, using the 180° rotation limit helps prevent damage to both the wall and the arm.
If there are no obstacles around your desk, you may use the 360° rotation limit to achieve maximum operational flexibility.
-
What is the range of motion for adjustments on the AM01?
Height adjustment range: 270 to 490 mm
Forward and backward adjustment range: 100 to 413.5 mm
Left and right adjustment range: +315 to -315 mm
Monitor tilt adjustment range: 45° to -20°
Monitor rotation (landscape/portrait) adjustment range: 90° to -90°
-
After completing the installation of the AM01 monitor arm, is it necessary to adjust the weight support for the monitor?
- If you are using the VESA version of the Studio Display, no adjustments are required, allowing you to enjoy optimal operation.
- If you are using the Tilt Adjustable Stand version of the Studio Display, please adhere to the following instructions:
2-1. Ensure that the Studio Display is securely mounted on the monitor arm.
2-2. Lower the monitor to its lowest height, then continue applying downward pressure until a "click" sound is heard. Afterward, rotate the knob to the next position.
Please note:
The knob should only be rotated when the monitor is at its lowest position. Do not attempt to rotate the knob at any other height. -
Are there any recommended cable lengths for cable management?
The base cable management box is primarily designed to store peripheral cables and does not have any specific cable length requirements.
For managing cables along the rear arm of the bracket:
Taking the cables connected directly to the monitor as an example (e.g., if you have 4 Type-C cables), a length of 1.5 meters is recommended if you plan to move, extend, or adjust the height of the arm. -
Is it possible to install the INFTYLAB Studio Arm AM01 / AM02 series monitor arm on a built-in or fixed desk?
The Studio Arm monitor stand offers two installation methods: C-clamp and grommet mount, both of which can be installed on the desktop.
Please check the following:
- If your desktop has a cable management hole with a diameter greater than 6 cm, the C-clamp installation can be used.
- If the hole diameter is too small (less than 6 cm) or there is no hole, drilling a hole through the desktop is required. Please drill a hole with a diameter of 10 to 20 mm for installation.
-
How can I assess whether my desktop environment and workspace are suitable for the use of the AM01/AM02?
Desktop Material Restrictions: It is recommended to use solid wood, durable engineered wood, or metal desktops. Desktops made of glass, hollow core, or honeycomb structures are more fragile and, therefore, not suitable for monitor stand installation, as uneven stress may cause damage to the surface.
Desk Edge Structure Restrictions: If the desk edge features a bevel or a large rounded corner exceeding 2.5 cm, the desk clamp may not secure properly. In such cases, a through-desk mounting method is advised.
Under-Desk Clearance: If there are frames, crossbars, or partitions located too close to the desk edge underneath, the clamp may be obstructed and unable to fasten securely. Under these circumstances, a through-desk mounting solution is necessary.
Supported Desktop Thickness: The AM01 and AM02 support desktop thicknesses—from 15 mm to 70 mm (0.59" to 2.76")—for both clamp and through-desk mounting options.
Rear Clearance: If your desk is positioned flush against a wall with less than 11 cm of clearance between the desktop and the wall, the desk clamp may not fit properly. Additionally, please ensure sufficient space to accommodate the stand’s range of motion to prevent collisions with the wall when rotating or adjusting the monitor’s depth.
-
Am I able to install or disassemble the AM01 by myself?
Due to the considerable weight of the Studio Display and the need for precise alignment during installation, it is recommended that two people work together to complete the monitor arm installation.
